I think the impression that Telstra is giving the country is that current consumer speeds are sufficient for the consumer…what they *really* want subsidised is their infrastructure—their current infrastructure probably *can’t* even handle the 512kb/sec being handed out to the average joe user and they want a hand out to augment it….

yeah right….somehow i don’t think he gets it…what so it’s going to be free? or rather than a subsidised product allowing greater rollout of highspeed broadband it will be limited to residential pockets where telstra can make a buck…much like cable was back in the day….puuuuhleeeeeeease
